Over the past months, the usage of our API has grown far beyond what we initially expected. While this growth is exciting and shows that many users rely on our tools, it has unfortunately also brought a noticeable increase in abuse and automated scraping. These activities place a heavy load on our infrastructure and affect the overall stability and speed of the service.
To keep the platform fast, reliable, and fair for everyone, we are adjusting the daily limit for free Geo IP lookups from 1000 to 500 requests per day. This change allows us to better protect our system from misuse and maintain a smooth experience for all legitimate users.
This was not an easy decision, but it is an important one. By tightening our limits and improving our security measures, we can ensure long term stability, continue releasing new features, and keep supporting developers, small businesses, and community projects that depend on our service.
