Profile and License Update

Geo Controller update - Some profiles were permanently deleted during our server migration. No data was compromised. Learn how to create a new profile, get a new license, and keep using WP Geo Controller securely.

We would like to inform our Geo Controller community about a technical challenge we experienced during our recent website migration. There is no need for immediate action or concern.

The licenses you currently use remain valid until their expiration date, and you can continue working without interruption. Only when your existing license is about to expire, or when you need to request a new one, will you need to create a new profile and receive a new license.

This means you don’t have to rush or make changes right away — the system will continue to function as expected until you naturally need to renew.

What happened

As part of moving our platform to a new domain and upgrading to faster, more secure servers, a number of user profiles were permanently deleted. This was caused by a system limitation during migration, and unfortunately, these profiles cannot be restored.

It is important to note that:

  • No personal data was exposed or misused.
  • All license records and order information remain secure.
  • The issue affected only stored profiles in our old system.

This approach also complies with GDPR, as deleted profile data is not recoverable and cannot be accessed by anyone.

What this means for you

If your profile is no longer available, you don’t need to take immediate action. Please continue using your current license until it expires. Only when your license is about to expire, or when you need to request a new one, you will be required to:

  1. Choose your desired license on our website.

  2. Complete the purchase process, during which you will be asked to create a new profile.

  3. A new license will automatically be generated and linked to this profile.

  4. Deactivate your old license inside WordPress.

  5. Activate the new license using the details from your new profile.

This process ensures smooth continuity of your WP Geo Controller usage.

Why this happened

The issue occurred while we were migrating to a modern infrastructure to improve:

  • Server performance and reliability
  • Security and compliance standards
  • The licensing and profile management system

The temporary loss of some profiles was an unfortunate side effect of moving to a stronger foundation that will benefit all users in the long run.
