Geo Controller integrates directly with WooCommerce, providing location-aware features for online stores serving customers across different countries and markets.
With Geo Controller, you can personalize selected parts of your WooCommerce store using IP geolocation data, display prices in currencies relevant to your visitors, control payment method availability by country, and access geographic information associated with customer orders.
These features work with your existing WooCommerce store, helping you deliver a more relevant shopping experience without creating a separate website for every market.
What Can You Do with Geo Controller and WooCommerce?
Customer Geolocation
Geo Controller adds Geolocate (by Geo Controller) to WooCommerce’s default customer location settings.
When selected, WooCommerce can use geographic information provided by Geo Controller to establish a customer’s initial location, including country and regional details. This information can also contribute to WooCommerce’s existing tax-location calculations.

Automatic Currency Conversion
Geo Controller includes a configurable currency conversion system that displays WooCommerce prices in currencies associated with the visitor’s geographic location.
You can choose to display:
- The original WooCommerce price only.
- The converted price only.
- The original price followed by the converted price.
- The converted price followed by the original price.
Additional settings allow you to adjust conversion rates by percentage, control rounding behavior, and determine whether conversion formatting should appear in the WordPress administration area.
Important: The built-in conversion system primarily changes how prices are displayed. It does not automatically change the currency used to process WooCommerce orders or payment transactions.

Country-Based Payment Methods
Geo Controller lets you control the availability of existing WooCommerce payment methods according to the customer’s country.
For each supported payment gateway, you can configure geographic rules to:
- Keep WooCommerce’s default payment availability.
- Enable the gateway only for selected countries.
- Disable the gateway for selected countries.
These rules are particularly useful for international stores working with regional payment providers or offering different payment options across multiple markets.
Payment processing and transaction eligibility remain the responsibility of the installed payment gateway.

Customer Location and Order Information
Geo Controller can optionally save geographic information when a customer places an order.
The WooCommerce order administration screen can display available location details, including the customer’s IP address, geographic location, timestamp, timezone, and browser information.
This feature provides additional context for order administration without replacing WooCommerce’s standard billing and shipping information.

Additional Geographic Personalization
Beyond WooCommerce-specific settings, Geo Controller provides other WordPress geolocation features that can complement your online store.
These include geographically targeted content, regional marketing messages, conditional elements, and location-based redirects.
These features are configured independently of WooCommerce’s built-in integration settings.

Important Considerations
Geo Controller uses IP-based geolocation, which provides an approximate geographic location rather than verified proof of residence.
Currency conversion, tax calculation, payment processing, and shipping availability depend on their respective WooCommerce settings and third-party integrations.
Before using geographic personalization on a production store, test your intended countries, active payment gateways, checkout configuration, and caching setup.
